Two thoughts on this: first, it’s interesting that other industries are now profiting off corporations like Walgreens successfully blaming shoplifters for their price gouging & bad practices.

Second, it’s an interesting time for a CEO to get mouthy in public.

It is absolutely appropriate to celebrate the murder of a mass murderer, particularly given that this was likely the only way to stop him from killing people for money.

You can’t use a gun to kill people; that’s barbaric. You have to build a corporate industrial complex that systematically deprives people of their basic human rights through a legal system backed by organized thugs who use a lot of guns to kill a lot of other people. That’s the civilized way.

“How did he know where the CEO was gonna be?” This was like a large public event, all he had to do was pay attention to their corporate press releases.

“Why didn’t the CEO have bodyguards?” It’s NYC. Rich/famous people ride the subway by themselves all the time.

“Why did he expose his face at Starby’s?” Dude, that wasn’t him, the Starby’s guy had a different color backpack and chest pockets on his jacket. Trust me bro I’ve spent a lot of time looking at pixelated photos on the internet

It really cannot be overstated enough: "For-profit health insurance" is fundamentally incompatible with keeping people healthy. UnitedHealthcare did not deny 1 out of every 3 claims because they thought they weren't medically valuable, they did it because they knew they could get away with it. The entire system cannot ever provide health as a meaningful outcome. It must be eliminated and replaced with taxation and a single-payer institution built on care, not resource hoarding.

What pisses me off is when liberals encounter fascists who want to kill them, their first reaction isn't "how do we stop it" but instead "okay how can we make a deal," when that fails they try to use the courts, and when that fails they throw up their arms and proclaim that injustice must stand because legalism is more important than doing what is right.
