When twitch came out to solve the 'entertainment stream' issue on serious streaming services. I wasn't very interested in watching streams so I spent more that a decade away from that part of the internet (parasocial behavior made no sense to me).
Then vtubers became a thing, I'm actually watching streams and fast forward now the whole fuss on parasocial behavior got fixed by consealing one's identity in an acceptable way and made doxxing less prevalent.
I hope I didn't miss out on much.
