Cisheteropatriarchy, at birth: “Here’s your assigned sex.”

Cisheteropatriarchy, during childhood: “Here’s how you perform your gendered social role according to your assigned sex.”

TERFs: “WAIT A SECOND! Gender? I think we should abolish that.”

TERFs: “And just go by sex.”

TERFs: “According to which we’ll assign social roles.”

@daggers_drawn a friend of mine thinks cishetopatriarchy is a redundant term

@Stoney It's not. Gay men and trans men can still enact and be empowered by patriarchal norms, cis people of all kinds can uphold cisnormativity, and any straight person can uphold heteronormativity.

But combining all of these concepts we get to see that only cisgender heterosexual men are served by all three.
