ableism, but really bizarre

i posted on tumblr about my approach to sex education as a parent and as someone who helped homeschool a person for high school (who's now an adult and who feels like she can ask us any sexuality questions without judgment!), and someone came by to assert that this will cause my kid to develop a borderline personality when she's 20

my approach wrt my toddler:

- the book "what makes a baby" by cory silverberg (explanation of human reproduction without gendering any bodies or using gendered metaphors for egg and sperm cells)
- knowing anatomical terms for her body parts
- strong emphasis on bodily autonomy
- when she's a bit older, the book "sex is a funny word" by cory silverberg

i understand that this is somewhat radical but also i can't stop being amused that some rando thinks that it causes borderline personality to teach a child names for their body parts, a basic explanation of how babies grow from egg and sperm cells, and that they have bodily autonomy???

@metapianycist
I have borderline and I can tell you it was not the pictures of pee pee that turn me this way.
Hint: it's the abuse and possessive behavior disguised as "overprotection"

@danishcookies the rando seemed to shut up after i said "i have some borderline friends and i know how to be kind to them"
