How much is your voice heard over others when there's dispute? On top of that, many socially engineer their appeal in these social spaces to gather followers. The more people possess clouts, the more they'll try to preserve it by any cost.
@Wewereseeds@organizing.social Believe one carrying monetary/influential power over others to "use it for the great of good" is a liberal (and red liberal) fantasy. No one is immune to corruption, if they themselves haven't been a wolf in sheep clothing from the start.
