I've literally never played animal crossing, but I do have a switch...

Is the new game any good? What do you actually *do*? Is there a lot of like tedious "relationship management" stuff with the villagers or whatever?

@CatDaddy I would describe it more like a mix between stardew valley and the sims, especially the first hours where you're just cleaning up the island

Animal Crossing is very open ended. You can play it just for interior decoration (your house), landscaping (decorating the island), collecting fish and bugs

my favorite is spending holidays in-game, because the days are played in real time

There's no "survival" aspect. You can eat fish and fruit if you want, but is def not required.
