I think more of the plot would have taken me by surprise if this was a couple of years ago or sooner, but the twists don't feel that woke to me :\

I suppose the only part I didn't predict is that the anger mode was emotional, I thought Alan was intentionally poisoning the population via the water because filtration was brought up so often

also Alan and the "pure breed" BS was a bit unexpected but he's still the BBEG sooooo....
