it adds a performative expectation to what's supposed to be a tool for self reflection
like instead of just writing/typing things down in a way that makes sense to you, it becomes,
"what's the most interesting way to document what happened"
life isn't always interesting in a narrative way
it's 1000% fine
you don't need to apologize for it or embellish it
