not sure how many people saw my separate clarification toot so I'll clarify & apologize here as well
earlier when I wrote "refugee" I meant the new masto users who call themselves that because they moved here from twitter/birdsite
there are refugees that use mastodon and I apologize that it sounded like I was talking about them
I should have taken the time to make sure it was clear from the start what I was talking about, my sincerest apologies
