@dragonmagic The ocean makes a ton of noise, like so many loud weird sounds and it's hard to know what made it.

Sonar operators get an earful.

@matoakit oh I bet, I suppose the "mystery" to it (to me anyway) is the claim the knocking noises were every 30~ minutes

which a lot of people assumed had to be human

@dragonmagic There are regular knocks from geothermal and magma activity that do that.

Kind of like old faithful, there is a repeating pattern to many of them.

Or it could have been ghosts.
