do you still use a medical mercury thermometer?
last year I bought one and the pharmacist told me it was the last one they had. when it comes to my part of the world, they still have them in Germany and the Czech Republic.

@reginasbread I would guess in NA that digital thermometers of some sort are most common
I got the impression via reddit that liquid thermometers are still popular in Europe, but they changed what the liquid is awhile back? 🤔

yes, they use galinstan, coloured alcohols and heat-sensitive liquid crystals.
