culture confusion
I am so confused, I thought "sad beige parenting" was an insult we were using for bad parenting
so I tap the hashtag on insta expecting to see mostly funny or angry callout posts from *not* beige parents
apparently,... the terrible parents are *AWARE* of the name and are *PROUD* to use the hashtag?? ??????
...at least when I was growing up (90's) if most of the interior was pure white with BS abstract art, at least the kids rooms were explosions of color

@catgoat I just saw that video today about the spray painted plastic Christmas tree 
after looking into SBP a bit, I was even more surprised to find out that this started with parents wanting more gender neutral toys and toxic free baby stuff
I have mixed feelings about the gender neutral angle, but I'm super curious when spray paint entered the equation

@dragonmagic i know some of it is a reaction to like... maximalism/hoarding of boomer gen, but... what ... there were some ppl painting their kids toys with spraypaint to match the aesthetic on tiktok
