Whining about coffee "hacks", a little coffee elitism I guess?
Every now and then I get a recommended article about coffee like a "coffee hack" and just kinda like, sigh about it because it's always something that specialty coffee has already done?????
Like, I got one talking about putting salt in coffee to make it less bitter and like.....coffee doesn't have to be bitter?????
I hate that all these "hacks" just boild down to "hey, get better beans

More than getting better beans you NEED clean, fresh, filtered water to make coffee. Coffee is mostly water so if you use water that tastes kinda off your coffee will have that taste. You can get the best beans, best bruting equipment, whatever but if you use shit water your coffee will taste like shit
