I can literally only feel cynicism toward any DC movie at this point
Like, my first thought at seeing the super colorful ww84 poster was "Ah, so DC is just gonna copy the aesthetic of Thor Ragnarok this time around I see" because I still can't think of DC movies as anything but hollowly chasing after Marvel movie success
@evie actually now that I think of this, this entire movie's retro gimmick is literally just Captain Marvel
@evie it seems like almost a triumph when you watch a DC movie that's even a bare minimum of entertaining. like Aquaman. "ok this is fun!...um...yeah, that's about all I can say about it. look, fishies"
@evie PR stuff looks like they're going down into "SCREW YOU NERD BOYS!" and STRONG FEMALE ROLE MODEL captain marvel PR too. its like watching a parrot honestly
