I don't pretend to know how delegates and shit work but how is it that Bernie can have consistently more votes than Pete in the first two voting rounds but Pete is leading in delegates? How is it not just counting the votes?????

Electoral college STILL makes no sense to me and the reasoning of "it's so big communities can't overpower smaller ones" still seems like such BS

@evie haha that’s not how it was explained to me in high school
Teacher was like, since news moved slower around the country, the concern was that the typical farmer wouldn’t have enough info to make an educated vote
So he’d need someone else to vote for him who was more informed
Like “as a buffer”
So that’s it. And decent in my class about it was quickly crushed under the authoritarian boots of the prep kids
