So like, do you eventually unlock the ability to do chores/jobs/errands/whatever for villagers?

Like, I’ve had villagers come up and give me things or I’ve been able to give them stuff in my inventory but I’ve NEVER gotten the option like in the older games to be like “Hey, do you need something?”

@evie i've been getting them since my first day. they're just a bit rarer
