This is just straight-up co-opting of Actual Medical Devices meant to be used by Actual Medical Professionals in controlled environments to induce Actually Dangerous Situations
There is no way this is coincidence at all. Red /specifically/ is /the/ most triggering color for photosensitive epilepsy, and this is well-documented in materials for a number of media industries.

@evie Yikes, it's bad enough when some games I play give me a migraine headache from flashing light effects from explosions, I wouldn't want to let any of the output from this within 500 feet of my eyes just from how painful it sounds to look at. I mean, isn't the point of a video game that you can look at it without being harmed? I guess not, anymore...
