GOD I’m so antsy of just like agakdlxkdkakhxhf I want my grinder I wanna mess around with my robot I want espresso

5: Once I get my grinder and have my whole thing set up I’ll try to figure out a way to set up my phone so I can take a video of a shot pulling because it is honestly just so beautiful
3: even though there wasn’t a lot of pressure the shots didn’t taste bad! Only a little sour, but still kinda sweet. Both shots were INCREDIBLY thin and had like, zero body and essentially just sorta felt like water in the mouth. Almost no texture at all
4: The whole set up and process and clean up and what not was super fun and pretty easy and I’m so excited to be able to have espresso again TT-TT

IM SO SXCITED
Sadly, the Baratza Encore is NOT meant for espresso, and the hand grinder I ordered won’t be here until tomorrow so I won’t be able to really dial in until then.
A few observations though:
1: I LOVE THIS. Seeing the first few drops was magical
2: The FINEST grind setting on the encore I was only able to get at most 4 bars of pressure. Espresso machines typically pull at 9 bars 🙃

@troubleMoney I’m American so I use a stovetop one 🙃
Though, I’m probably gonna buy an electric one so I can get to a specific temperature and hold that temp, ESPECIALLY for when I dial in espresso and have to pull a few shots in a row. Right now we have a really cheap electric kettle that just gets to boiling with no bells or whistles
My coffee corner has been cleared up to make room for my robot and potentially an electric kettle
Sometimes Skinner will get close to snuff my face and I’ll give her a tiny little kiss on the snout
Despite coming from Hong Kong FedEx tacking STILL says my Robot will be here tomorrow so we’ll see
By Thursday I may have all the stuff I need to dial in espresso at home and I’m so pumped oh my god I miss good espresso so much
