The Protomen have a great album of 80s covers because like, that became their aesthetic

@LANthus Yeah Weezer isn't really an "~80s" sounding band, they're a mid/late 90s band and like, that's just not a good mesh

Also, while I'm here, Coheed and Cambria's cover of The Trooper is hot garbage

Which seems like a silly thing to say but like ????????
That's just not really his energy as a singer imo???????

Rivers' voice doesn't really have the emotion to cover a bunch if 80s and earlier songs like they want to fite me

@LANthus apparently their drummer did the mixing for their covers (including this album and just the Africa single itself before the album came out)
Everything Will Be Alright In the End and the White Album all sounded fine production-wise

The Cover Up by The Protomen is such a better album of covers from the same period as the Teal Album

I love a lot of covers but Weezer is incredibly BAD at making covers

HDIRSUXURFPUXOUG THE WAY Rivers sings that first "together" makes my stomach churn it sounds so sour
Also AGAIN the chorus just sounds like a wall of sound
