I got up to grab my switch controller and I say back down and tried turning the switch on but I don't think the dock is plugged in, so now I'm sitting on the couch just tapping buttons on the controller because I don't wanna stand up again T-T

All the hair colors, styles, and facial features are gender neutral in Animal Crossing, AND you can apparently change any of those feature on the fly whenever you want
New Leaf already had all the clothes be gender neutral as well so they'll probably stick with that
