I would love love love if people would take a step back and stop insulting each other holy fuck.
I am one of the people who is hurt by words like stupid and crazy. I will mute ppl in a heartbeat if they won't change their language to accommodate.
And if someone chooses to use them when they know it hurts? Sending hate isn't gonna stop them. They're not worth your time or mine.
That is what the mute/block button is for.

1. Nobody should be describing people using those words, and it's okay to be offended when people apply them to you.
2. However, what do you think is appropriate language to describe ideas which lack thinking or logic?
3. If the answer is "there isn't any", then you've killed casual discourse; nobody wants to have a proper debate every time they disagree with an idea.

@Aerdan Illogical, untruthful, poorly thought out. In plenty of cases they're just flat out lies and should be called such. "That makes no sense" is a great one. Bullshit is good. Basically things attacking logical fallacies and untruths are good. Things attacking intelligence and sanity are not. I say sanity because, as a psychotic person, I refuse to be lumped in with those who spew hate and vitriol. Especially since many are neurotypical & *not psychotic*

@gemstones That's all fairly reasonable, yes.
I do, however, think that if you're bothered by every use of your S-word, even when it's not used in reference to a person, that you're going to need to cope. I know that that's awful advice and hard to do—I deal with dysthymia and a personality disorder, among other things—but I don't think it's realistic to expect people to change habitual verbiage and be 100% about keeping it changed.

@Aerdan Of course people are gonna slip up and of course there's gonna be people who are gonna be unwilling to accommodate, especially irl where you can't put a browser extension in place so you don't have to see it. But it's something that *should* be changed and ideally, phased out of everyday vocabulary. All in time, of course. Change is slow.
