Specifically for people who regularly read ALT text.
I have heard and know that saying "an image of" or "a photo of" is not necessary in ALT text but I'm curious...
Does saying "a screenshot of" help? or is it also not necessary/helpful?
I thought maybe mentioning that it's a screenshot of an app or website would help add more context but I want to hear from the people it affects the most.
@elly like some others, sighted user here who has been doing faer best with alt text for a while. I try to supply only the necessary context when it makes sense to. Saying screenshot can often be helpful, but as someone else said I agree if instead it says it's a tweet for example thats enough without redundantly saying it is a screenshot
