yeah? one thing is that furries really do tend to (a tendency, not a rule) use fursonas/personal characters as a form of signaling and it might be conscious or not. knowing someone's fursona on sight increases fondness, or gives a feeling of personableness. it's almost like a logo, but more complex and personal.
