@eta@writing.exchange I think if you spend a lot of time typing it's definitely worth it. I got a CoolerMaster MasterKeys Pro S (brown switches) and I'm really happy with it. Looks and feels high quality in every way and I absolutely love typing on it.
This isn't the first mechanical keyboard I've used, I had a TTesports Poseidon ZX (blue) for a while that I borrowed from my dad and if I hadn't tried that already I wouldn't have wanted to spend this much money on a keyboard either.

april fools! I am actually a cat wearing bunny ears 😹

I wasn't going to do that but then I happened to see a really good deal on the keyboard I wanted and couldn't resist >_>

I spent a significant portion of my first paycheck (a small one, to be clear, since I started near the end of a pay period) on a mechanical keyboard, because apparently that's the kind of person I am

@rjl20 sorry for the ambiguity, I should probably not try to write bug reports in oulipo form - it gave me a confirmation screen saying an email had been sent, but I didn't receive any (not in spam either)

@rjl20 what should I do if I'm having difficulty logging in to oulipo.social? it isn't saying my password is wrong or any obvious thing, but "Sorry, things just don't work right now." I didn't turn on 2FA or anything, and clicking 'forgot password' didn't work. I know many folks can log in and post - I saw toots, that's how I know you brought oulipo back, thank you for that - so I think it's just my account. how can I fix that?

oh I did skip my second cup of coffee, that probably has something to do with it

I started my new job today and I think I'm going to like it but I need more time to get used to it - at least I *hope* I'll get used to it soon and not be this tired every day!

Depression

@Tarale understanding yourself better makes it easier to find places where you fit in, IME - even if that might never look the same as it would for an average neurotypical person. it can feel like it sometimes, but being "weird and awkward" isn't automatically a dealbreaker everywhere!

@irina I overheard my dad telling one of those "we don't use microsoft products here!" once, but only as a prelude to hanging up on them so I don't know what they would've said either. I wanted to find out too!
