I wonder how hard it would be to make a homemade PSP Go dock? Like, the pinout for the cable is the same on both ends so it'd theoretically just be just directly wiring things on both ends and figuring out how to make the ports and plugs.

And even then you could sorta get around that issue by directly wiring the pinout to Component video ports and barrel power port on the dock, which would be way more convenient anyway

From what I can tell there isn't any special circuitry in the PSP Go video cable, so the only hurdle I can think of would be manufacturing new PSP Go cable plugs. The shell could be very easily 3D-printed.

Okay now I'm curious, I'm gonna research the pinout on the PSP Go video cable

Bingo, looks like someone already did some research into the issue, and just as suspected, the YPbPr and stereo audio are sent through their own cables with no decoding! And someone even made a 3D-printable dock on Thingiverse!
