ableist language and programming languages
like this is one of the few contexts in which I still use the word "lazy", I try to be careful with my vocabulary
This will seem like a hot take, but my bet is that your favourite piece of media isn't perfect. Criticising the things you love is valuable because it helps you isolate what it is you love about them. This helps to integrate your relationship to them into a broader understanding of what you personally get out of art. Greater understanding is always a good thing
logistical argh update
tried using webchat to talk to their customer service but the rep closed the chat while I was typing (tho tbh it wouldn't surprise me if they were not a human). called their customer service phone number and didn't get to speak to a human but seem to have rearranged delivery for tomorrow
logistical argh.
so I missed a delivery today due to being at work. no calling card from delivery person, only know cos the guy phoned me, and until today I had no idea they'd been trying to deliver anything. I eventually found out who the logistics partner was by going via a third party website, but apparently as they've made 3 delivery attempts I have to collect from the depot... in a different fucking county
aaand they have no e-mail to complain to.
fat body image thoughts
does anyone else (asking fellow fat ppl) cringe when they hear the word "plus size"? like, I'd much rather people just called me "fat" tbh.
maybe cos "plus size" implies a relationship to clothes, like "you fall outside of the normal sizing range". gee thanks for reminding me, y'know?
