The thing I didn't think all the way through, before taking this queer studies class, was how much my crappy Ex had intertwined themselves into what I knew about queerness. They made themselves into the only source of queer affirmation, info, and support I had, and it's still hard. Relatedly, I hate how mopey winter makes me.

It's just been really depressing to be on social media lately. I miss chatting with my friends.

All that body-horror descriptive power turned towards lavishing details on (transparent!) gummy women giving birth and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know how very pregnancy goo kink it is. It is Not That Sort of Group.

How in the world am I going to crit this without mentioning it? How am I going to maintain the "enthusiastic and encouraging" tone this group requires?

This is my luck with crit groups, I swear.

Gods and stars a-mighty. So this lit-horror crit group that I fit in like a brick in a ballet slipper? Yeah, this week, the artsiest and body-horror-iest of the members was like "I don't usually do horror -" (me: hah!) "- so I tried to lessen the impact of this preg-and-birth story by making it about candy."

And friends,

I really hate that I don't make enough money to pay for updating the filters in my CR box, and how many scammers are out there on amazon selling counterfeit filters. It's so hard to tell what's legit.

And like, I had a beginning, a middle and an end where a problem was introduced, there were feelings had about it, and it was resolved, so. Like, it's no Big Wangsty Feels About Fucking and Dysphoria That Go Nowhere at word limit, I know. I guess that's my problem.

Adventures as trash in Literary Horror group continue, as the most prolific crit dude tells me my story isn't a real story and things happen too quickly. At a hair over 600 words, I'm not sure how he expected it to go slowly.

I know this. And yet, I keep doing it to myself.

My time as a schlock writer in the Literary Horror critique group continues to be awkward. They don't like my stuff, I can barely read their stuff, but the group rules mean we all have to be "enthusiastic and encouraging" at each other. This is my luck.
