Rant of the day:

I am fascinated by the amount of players that don't realize that a big part of why #starcitizen is the way it is, it's that otherwise it wouldn't work at all.

"Why have elevators?" "Why have trams??" "Why can't we teleport???"

Neverminding the fact that MANY of us enjoy the pace that imposes, by keeping things realtime, the network data transfer can be kept at a manageable size.

Anything else instanced, other than current hangars will NEVER work for the scope of this game.

@Plus_Ultra
Note: I think that they will probably instantiate the jump-points to prevent fights inside and jams.

And I think that they can try to instantiate some parts of skyscrapers (and associated) for specific uses.
(Like guild hubs inside a city, as an alternative for those who won't do basebuilding and want something classy than a hangars)

@Saufian "fights inside a jump point" reminds me of what happens if you fail mid jump point.

That is, of course there is a bit of a risk...but, how much?
Is it instadeath everytime you fail? or do you get stranded in space between galaxies? can you realistically get back into the wormwhole? or at the very least, be rescued?

I hope to get some answers in the Beyond Pyro panel.

@Plus_Ultra @Saufian way simpler, they went into it in isc and the q&a scl after: no, you get spat out at the edge of one of the two systems, likely with a damaged ship, but not an exploded one :)
