@Tay0@fosstodon.org It would, yes :) It would be lovely to have at least /some/ way to know who some of your supporters are... A switch to let people you support know that you do, possibly even a way to let them send you a message (not a content delivery system, just a send-an-email thing), it would suddenly make liberapay kind of... an actual possible patreon alternative for a lot of people who just want to show that gratitude :)

@icefoxx Such a lovely aesthetic, and a most delightful drone configuration :)
So a few days ago I said I wanted to talk a bit more about the worldview behind that little book of 1980s lesbian feminist cartoons I have. Because it’s the kind of feminism I remember from when I was a student, and it’s the kind of feminism so many TERFs and their allies in the U.K. started with.
I’ll start with some scans...

if you're white and you use the internet, you have a duty to ensure that the spaces you are in are not a safe space for white supremacists. no, "oh but I like this person and they've never done anything in MY group" -- listen to us. listen to what we have to say. report people to the mods or if it's an ongoing problem, *leave the fucking group and let people know why you're leaving*.
make mods explain their decisions. make it uncomfortable. make it weird.
it's the LEAST you can do.

@stokes Depends on what sort of style and materials you're after :)
Rome entered a terminal crisis in the 200s AD. But it took 200 more years for the western half of the empire to fall and 1,200 years for the eastern half to finally bite it.
Despite its failure, successor civilizations used its memory to claim legitimacy for millennia, with the Holy Roman Empire not ending until less than 200 years ago. The state religions of both the eastern and western empires persist to this very day.
Political and social systems can continue on for literally eons after they've proven themselves to be irredeemably defective.
I think about that when people talk about "Late Capitalism."

The space rats are now discovering the world is somewhat different to what they first expected. Listen in to learn how :) Khaki of The Voice of Dog narrates the final part of You Are Our Lifeboat at https://www.thevoice.dog/episode/you-are-our-lifeboat-by-dan-leinir-turthra-jensen-part-2-of-2 #furry #writing #audiobooks #podast
@carl@linuxrocks.online @spacekatia Pretty cool to be able to be one of today's 10,000 /and/ being able to fix a thing for the community :)
@violet They also have a partnership with someone who does really neat covers if the basic ones aren't a good fit for you (though you can also make your own covers, there's a pattern) :) They're also always happy to help out (email or telegram). (for a bit of disclosure, i don't work for them or whatnot, but i work on the android app, which is libre software :) )
@violet If you want ones which can wiggle and such... thetailcompany.com can sort you out :) (they're all manner of cool just in general, too, even if they're not on masto ;) )
To all Pepper&Carrot readers, supporters and also to all the Free/Libre and Open Source community, here an illustration I just finished to wish you a wonderful time in this end of year. Happy Holidays!

For a touch of background, this story was born out of a somewhat random ych i got a while ago - it then also diverged greatly, but still, this was what caused the story to exist :) https://www.weasyl.com/~oddthesungod/submissions/1168182/commission-event-horizon
Would you like to hear about some uplifted rats in space doing space-rat things? Of course you would! Khaki is making that happen, by reading my story You Are Our Lifeboat over on The voice of Dog :) https://www.thevoice.dog/episode/you-are-our-lifeboat-by-dan-leinir-turthra-jensen-part-1-of-2 for all your space rat needs :D #furry #writing #podcast
