I'm about to ruin someone's fun here I think
I just happened to hear today about the movie "Speed" being called "Fart" in Sweden, and that seemed plausible from what I know of the language? I've been there, I know it means that, I laughed at the signs. I'm not made of stone
@lion I'm always a slut for cheese
@lion Just like Dutch supermarkets sell "slagroom"; "room" means cream and there's no need to translate any further really.
@lion @gsuberland aren't we all.
@lion@computerfairi.es small thing u might already know but just to put it out there, osten means “the cheese”
just “cheese” would be just “ost” like in “ost og skinke”
@lion
Fuck it. Sure. Excellent translation. You got us. The entirety of Sweden is insane.
@lion sluts grommit, sluts!
@lion
England do be farten.
@lion@computerfairi.es pretty sure that poster is fake, it’s not either Swedish Norwegian or Danish
if it is real it’s probably weird Norwegian tho, but Norwegian and Danish are written very similarly so idk
@lion@computerfairi.es oh wait somehow I didn’t see what was below this
Undskyld sorry
@lion@computerfairi.es also my favorite one is “bridge ends” as “bro slut”
So I searched for any posters or covers with the title & the only one that comes up is this
But it's not Swedish cos Swedish doesn't use the ø so it must be Norwegian or Danish. But as far as I can tell "røsh" isn't a word in either of them. Plus it has a US MPAA rating and the date in English
