i got hold of a surface laptop 2 for free at the end of last year & i was thinking of installing linux on it & using it for casual portable web browsing type things but because it's Weird Microsoft Hardware the camera doesn't work at all under linux & the touchscreen needs a custom kernel. hmm
@lion Yeah, the Surface stuff has a bunch of malengineering to make Linux difficult on them, sadly.
@lion IDK if something changed with later models, but I've been using Ubuntu on a Surface Pro 3 I picked up cheap on ebay in 2019 without anything weird needing to be done with the touchscreen or anything.
