@shoofle yeah....... me too
i tend to think any discussion of overpopulation is a red herring. if population georg has the footprint of umpteen billion people, maybe you should do something about that guy in particular before worrying about the children of the colonized and the exploited. banging on the drum of overpopulation reeks of disordered priorities. maybe when we have toppled capital and colony, i will feel differently. until then, we know what fish we have to fry first.
global orders are up for Chouyoku Senki Estique (FC) / Changeable Guardian Estique (NES), a new horizontal transforming-mech STG from Cat Hui Trading, the indie company helmed by Mega Drive Mini/Game Gear Micro director Takayuki Komabayashi; shipping begins on December 16 https://www.brokestudio.fr/shop/
lotsa veterans worked on this one: Jemini Hirono, PAC & Daigattai Kodama (ex-Compile), Shinichi Sakamoto (ex-Westone), Shinji Hosoe & Ayako Saso (SuperSweep, ex-Namco), etc etc
TIL those flickering LED tealights are often made with music chips from old greeting cards as the source of "randomness" https://www.instructables.com/Listen-to-a-led-tea-light/
I came here to post a last reminder that Mushihimesama's being delisted from Switch by day's end, but it seems to already be gone (in NA at least)... no big loss, as it's on Steam via another publisher and will be for the foreseeable future
not so for Espgaluda II, which is currently only commercially available on Switch, so ya might wanna grab it while you can https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/espgaluda-ii-switch/
@gosokkyu Dodonpachi Resurrection is the other one getting delisted, Mushihimesama went in August

Super Nodage World, the second game in a series of crowdfunded minigame collections spearheaded by Japanese comedian & app dev Crystal Noda, finally got a global release on Switch https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/super-nodage-world-switch/
what's particularly noteworthy about these games is that not only the ideas but the actual assets are crowdsourced from backers, and they have a lot of collaborators (like Mojipittan creator Hiroyuki Goto) pitching in on game design
