For those in Canada, the bill "An Act to restrict young persons’ online access to sexually explicit material" just passed Second Reading in the House, with ALL members of the NDP voting in favour of it 😩

This is a bill that would require Canadian's to "verify" their age (18+) with a third-party (ie upload gov ID) before accessing "sexually explicit" material.

Please contact your MPs to try and get this bill stopped.

@emaytch We find convenience in tension with control because the people with the budgets to give us convenience have incentives to take away control. I'm not convinced it's actually the case convenience and control are incompatible.
