Well, I was able to patch in a frame-limiter for Rayman Ultimate, so now it's kinda playable in the emulator at least. The biggest issues now are inputs not registering unless you hold them for a while, and crashing when loading levels sometimes.
I don't know if I have the ability to fix those, so I just uploaded what I have already done to the Internet Archive in case anyone wants to try this obscure version despite these issues (or if anyone is willing to try and fix them ;) )

i suppose the comedy option would be to buy an absolute top end banger gpu and install it into this otherwise potato machine and then it can be transplanted into the new desktop whenever i get around to building that
... but i don't want to spend that kind of money rn so it'd prob end up being the absolute cheapest one with DP
and please forgive me for using the abbreviation DP i don't have room to type out displayport every time. I KNOW what you perverts are thinking though. Deluxe Paint
so i want a new monitor which i would use with 3 computers: my personal laptop, my work laptop, and my old desktop (which i want to replace at some point)
the one i'm considering has 1x hdmi and 1x displayport, the laptops would use hdmi as they only support dp over usbc and i want to keep those ports free
ideally this would mean the desktop stays connected to the other port but it doesn't HAVE dp so i'm now considering buying a new graphics card for a machine i'm trying to retire β
