insane behaviour from AMD asking me to install a 10.5GB chat bot to ask it what my GPU temperature is

FINAL UPDATE I purchased a GPU and I have installed it and everything now works great and I will not be spending any more money on Computer for the next ten years thank you very much

Before I throw them in the bin does anyone want 10 shiny generic Micro SD card packages for anything

distro I'm trying is Kubuntu because I know a couple of people that use it & it seems nice tbh. might install it on my old laptop

currently using Linux booted from usb to flash SD cards because I don't want Windows putting its fucking System Volume Information on them

haven't seen much talk of this but this fuckin sucks. yet more moral panic driven politics pushing the isolation and control of young people in the name of their so-called protection

so after some experimentation it seems to only happen with a monitor connected via the usb c-display port adapter. using only hdmi i have had no crashes, even at 4k 120hz. so i CAN keep it stable but at the cost of using my 2nd monitor...
hmmmm that gpu purchase is looming ever closer isn't it.....

need to like hire a twink to clean my flat or something
