There is something of a cultural divide on Mastodon between people who came here because they hated Twitter and people who came here because Twitter is going to shit.
Twitter actually was a pretty good experience for me overall.

@recursive I didn't hate Twitter, but I do feel like it's better here. (Or, Mastodon has something Twitter lost a long time ago. The best way I've been able to put it: For-profit platforms want us to spend more time there, so they come up with algorithms that show us things that are entertaining but not satisfying. Losing that made the experience satisfying again.)
