even with the influx from Twitter, Mastodon still feels somehow empty. Maybe I'm not following the right tags, but even with the busiest art tags my feed is pretty thin.
It's not just about my timeline either, search results seem very thin. Queries and tags that would have a flood of results on twitter get maybe one result here.
@SpriteGuard I think it's because hashtag searches only pull from your federated feed, which is the local feed plus posts/boosts from anyone followed by anyone on your instance.
@madewokherd oh that's disappointing. Is there a way to search more widely? I'm on a tiny and specialized private server so the immediate neighborhood isn't exactly teeming with wildlife.
