I can't tell you how tired I am of seeing posts about how it's okay that reddit is imploding because you can just start up an old school forum.

I fucking hope that the subreddits I occasionally interacted with do that, but you're really missing the point of you keep saying this. The vast majority of people who used reddit didn't run communities, and didn't actually care where that community was.

I still don't care, but now those communities are effectively dead.

@minego Wtf, people are saying that? Like, yeah it's inevitable and we need to move to open platforms but it still absolutely sucks when the enshittification starts.

@madewokherd Yeah, I've seen a LOT of posts saying that. They aren't wrong, but that is a message for the people running and moderating these communities, not the regular people
