Oh wow, this post got me this morning. My "secret" art plan this year was to make art every day, working on building some skills. I thought I was so grounded about it: it isn't a career, it's just for me, I enjoy my own style, I just want to get better at stuff like perspective, etc. Despite this healthy attitude, I've been so avoidant! So intimidated. I've organized my supplies a dozen times this month. I've actually painted...a half dozen times.

TODAY I PAINT.
@hollie We did a daily art challenge (5 minute doodles, on a timer) for a while and it was hard. I think it helped that the goal was just "put down at least one mark and work on it for exactly 5 minutes", but we still gave up after a while because we stopped doing anything new.
Anyway, hope you have more success and above all fun making stuff. Don't be too hard on yourself.
