hypno, self, rambling

listened to some hypno by eSuccubus on the theme of becoming a pet bot

and I think parts of it may have helped knock something loose that I can use to build off of, in terms of setting/following directives & viewing issues of "do a thing" through a lens of hypnosis

but also amused(?) at the way a big chunk of it whiffed for me, b/c it was about feeling pleasure (setting yr reward function) for completing a task/instruction & then imagining operant conditioning for compliance downstream of that as the natural result of doing things with a pleasure reward

b/c the idea above *feeling good* as a response to anything is unspeakably alien to me right now

which suggests that maybe I need to self-program my own motivational framework on some other positive feeling (pride? confidence? competence? self-love? respect?) or some other basis entirety

it's unimaginable that "pleasure" could occur frequently or reliably enough to be a reward, and "obligation" is a thoroughly burnt out dead end

@emerald I don't think pleasure works for me as a reward even when it does occur. Or maybe it's operant conditioning in general that doesn't seem to work..
