I got myself a Steam Frame, and holy fuck I love it. A tiny Linux box that i can strap to my face. VR absoletely REQUIRES hackability.
Also, Gorn and Gorn 2 are wonderful, and Beat Saber is actually really good when you can pick the song. Black Hole Sun felt so damned good.
@minego Oh hey me too but I haven't had much time to play with it yet. Only really played Race the Sun so far (and had to use a keyboard to control it).
@madewokherd I love so much that valve doesn't look anything down. I've spent more time in the desktop mode than gaming so far. Also, I love that I can just ssh to it.
The dongle has been flakey for me in Linux (it works if I restart steam on my PC, start steamVR manually, then pair... for each game.) but my WiFi has been good.
@minego I haven't figured out streaming to it yet, though I'm clearly going to have to eventually.
@madewokherd It is much more powerful than i expected, but yeah streaming is the real star.
@minego I am so far unable to figure out how to stream a VR game from another machine.
@madewokherd It can be finicky. Especially on Linux. It seems they rushed the host software a bit.
But, when it does work it works well.
