i think an an under-appreciated way to hang out with someone is to just sit in the same room together, working on separate things.
sometimes it's nice to just silently enjoy someone's company.
"hi, can i come over sometime? oh, no, i don't want to do anything. just visit. how long? oh maybe a few hours. don't worry you don't have to do anything, i'll completely ignore you. what? no, there's nothing wrong with my house..."

@magical yes!! I feel like something along the lines of "hey let me come over to your house to work on some stuff and we can keep eachother company" would be fine.

does anyone else feel this way? it's happened to me a couple times but it seems like it would be incredibly awkward to propose explicitly.
