a friend of mine who spends a LOT of his time picking up plastic waste from parks, rivers, streets, etc. had a good idea. He decided to photograph the non biodegradable waste and tag companies on social media with it. So if he finds a plastic Subway cup, he tells Subway about it with the message "is this yours?" I dig this because it's not something that blames the consumer. It puts the blame where it belongs: on the producer.

Join me on Friday when my friend and colleague Elke will finally release her new comic “Love Migration”.

Short, autobiographical episodes follow Elke falling in love with Russian queer activist Masha in St. Petersburg and their subsequent decision to live together in Berlin.

Elke will be presenting at this year’s International Womens’ Day celebrations of Quarteera, a Berlin-based Russian-speaking LGBTQ* organization. So also expect Russian queerfeminist standup comedy, open mike and much more!

Was ich auch immer ungewöhnlich finde: fast alle Menschen können Gargarin als ersten Menschen im All nennen, aber die erste Frau im All kennt irgendwie kaum wer (Valentina Tereshkova). Wahrscheinlich ist sogar Laika 🐶 eher präsent.🤔
