Some awesome things about my native language, Tagalog, on #NonBinaryDay:
- No gendered pronouns ("siya" is for everyone)
- No distinction between gender for a lot of relationships ("kapatid" means sibling)
- No grammatically gendered nouns or articles ("ang")
- The common form of many nouns is neutral. ("doktor" isn't always a male doctor, it's just anyone who's a doctor)
- It's entirely possible (even common) to tell a story and not mention anyone's gender.

In all seriousness, re: JK Rowling's transphobia and antisemitism and racism and the general badness of Harry Potter: I believe in breaking up with artists and pieces of art. I do. I think it's healthier than separating art from artist, and involves more critical skills. When I say breaking up, here's what I mean: Don't give them your cash. Don't give them your time. Don't recommend them to people, or at least not without a serious caveat. And in this case, don't read them to your children.

Manchmal gehts auch unbürokratisch.

I'm a "tech guy" on a lot of teams. My major skill is confidence. If I don't know how to do something, I'll type whatever keywords I can think of into DuckDuckGo and keep trying things until they work. I usually have no idea what I'm doing before starting on a new task. I like doing things I haven't done before.

If you can search the web and can be comfortable with some ambiguity, you could do this too.

Gestern vor 3 Jahren wurde in vom deutschen Bundestag die Öffnung der Ehe für gleichgeschlechtliche Paare beschlossen.

Knapp 4 Monate vorher hatten die Herzensfrau und ich in den USA geheiratet.

Ursprünglich hatten wir uns, als ich ihr 2016 einen Antrag gemacht habe, so geplant: Sommer 2016 - rein religiöse Zeremonie in meiner Tradition, ohne zivilrechtliche Folgen; Sommer 2017 - Heirat in den USA, in Ruhe zusammenziehen.
