im not too surprised by all that algorithmic creepy kids youtube stuff, that seems kinda inevitable to me, but i AM alarmed that there are hundreds of channels that just post real, proper human-generated content consisting entirely of surface-level skim-read wikipedia articles with image slideshows and titles like "<obviously self-explanatory thing> explained" and have millions of GENUINE subscribers who participate in comments and say things like "great work" completely sincerely
