Does anyone know an instance that uses black text on white background (or similar)? And a larger font size? Or are there any Stylish things for that? Asking bc of someone who wanted to try mastodon and can't use it with the default theme #accessibility
@maunzikation I made this style ages ago but I think it still works: https://userstyles.org/styles/136214/high-contrast-mastodon It can do black-on-white or white-on-black.
I haven't done anything with font sizes but that might be possible
@u2764 cool, thank you!!
@maunzikation maybe this is a possible solution with some "hacking": https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylus/clngdbkpkpeebahjckkjfobafhncgmne
or some other similar extension
@maunzikation @instajelly I have job for you
@maunzikation
I don't know any instance but I'm using the Tusky app and you can change the colors for white BG with black text!
@maunzikation my viewer does, but that's not a full solution unmung.com/mastoview
@maunzikation possibly a user script could change the styling
@maunzikation there's a couple of user styles https://userstyles.org/styles/browse/mastodon , maybe one of them could be modified according to your needs
@maunzikation This instance (infosec.exchange) is very pleasant dark grey with white text... and multi-scrolling columns🤣
@maunzikation https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/dark-background-light-text/ see if this does the trick
@Antanicus this is the opposite of what the person in question needs, the dark background of the mastodon default theme is the problem ;)
@Antanicus aah, i see. it is possible to do the opposite by changing the colors. thanks.
@maunzikation yup! it's fully customizable, hope it helps! :)
@maunzikation there indeed are some stylish modes for light themes. Your friend also have the option of using mobile app, i know that Tusky and TootyFruity on Android both have dark text on light background option ;)
To sum up the replies (thank you so much, everyone!), so far no instance recommendations, but:
Tusky (Android client) has a light theme and uses Android's font size settings (thanks @frankiesaxx @Amaury @Jules)
