@maunzikation @Jules coincidentally one of the things I had (eventually) planned to do with the pager transmitter, Linux control system and another Arduino is set up PIR detectors in my garden, so when various animals enter (at least 5 cats, 2 hedgehogs) I get a message (the TX range is 0,5 to 0,7 km!) ofc this setup can't do species recognition but the idea is I would then be able to photograph the animals with better cameras (if I get there quick enough 😄 )
