@Maverynthia "The School for Good and Evil" by Soman Chainani. It's more of a fairy tale inspired setting though.

And "The Magicians", but I really didn't like the first book & stopped reading after that. (I liked the TV series a lot, but it has a lot of bullshit in it, idk.)
