Would a pull request to GNU social, that acknowledges Mastodon's restricted posting modes (by not posting directly to public timeline and disabling repost button on affected posts) be welcomed?
Or is it a sin to even consider having something be not visible to every single computer on the planet?

Random Thought on Accessibility
I'm not sure if this is possible, but it sure would be nice if we could actually fill in the alt text for images we upload.
This would allow less visual space being taken up by image descriptions and would reflect better how screen reader users actually view images.

I don't think that CWing the "is queer a slur" discussion is bad.
I once muted "# bi" during a bi-antagonism discussion on birbsite because it felt bad to read anything about that, even the stuff that I agreed with. But I don't love filtering, it's often too much.
On Tumblr, I unfollow for too much "ace discourse", same thing.
CWs let me decide how much hate I want to engage with.
+ CWing a delegitimizing discussion might not even stigmatize the term itself further imo, but idk.

@abgd :D yeah :s I think the view is often held out of real concern to do the right thing and not hurt anyone, but the amount of topics that are being overlooked + the maybe not always huge, but definitely there tie to TERF stuff makes this soooo fishy.
