But seriously the fact that some libraries buy some of the books that you suggest (unless you suggest things that the library can't get, like I just did) is one of my favourite things ever
Ooooh I'm always so happy when people recommend books that happen to also exist as audiobooks :>

You: "Why are you describing everything out loud?"
Me: "I played an adventure game this weekend." *turns to the fourth wall* "Point and click adventures are a great way to relax and I'm not sure why, in this era of chaos and dread, they remain such a niche after their downfall to more action-oriented titles in the 90s." *steals a stapler from your desk* *walks out of the room using a shortest path algorithm*
I imagine that Garth Nix was probably asked regularly whether he was reeeaally suuure that the Clayr only take men to their chambers, when they live in a glacier full of marvelous women, and he thought about it and was like, no, actually I'm not that sure, let me correct my mistakes. :3
(I feel like I have to quote this discovery into my "things that I don't like about the Abhorsen series" thread, because finally, in book 5, the Clayr are no longer straight https://computerfairi.es/@maunzikation/159875)
I'd really like to use my cybre.space account as well, just because I like the aesthetics and it also looks like a nice place, and it seems like a waste only to have it as a fallback, but I'm reaaally bad at account splitting… I never know what to put on which, and I don't have any real topics that I talk about that would make sense to splinter off. So. Feeling a bit guilty for not tooting there, but also, no, I don't think I'm going to change that.
I was momentarily confused when I walked into the kitchen because everything was so bright (I came up with the explanation that the coffee might be on fire but it definitely wasn't), until I discovered that it was sunlight, coming in through the window. what a peculiar sight, I'd never have expected it. #spring
